Dixie County Emergency Services

MISSION: To develop, assemble and maintain information that may be needed during future emergencies. Information includes Emergency response plans, Mutual Aid plans, operations plans, available resource lists, demographics and geographic information systems mapbase reference files. Maintain a state of readiness, respond effectively to an emergency, and react in a timely and efficient manner to the needs of county residents.

• Collect and disseminate information about the emergency to all concerned parties.
  
• Coordinate the utilization of all available resources
  
• Coordinate operations conducted by local governments in accordance with mutual aid agreements.
  
• Distribute emergency information and instructions to the public.

The CEOC ensures command, control, coordination and communication during crisis response and long term recovery from every major emergency.
